Burris OracleX

Burris OracleX

First-to-Market Ballistic Superiority

Burris Optics is the pioneer of integrated rangefinding technology, yet the crossbow market remained an underserved frontier for intelligent glass. The challenge for the OracleX was to take the ballistic authority of the Eliminator riflescope and repackage it into a durable, shockproof chassis specifically tuned for the unique arc of a high-velocity crossbow bolt.

Through an intensive design sprint, I developed an aggressive, technical form language that prioritized high shelf appeal and "turnkey" operational efficiency. The resulting unit features a built-in laser rangefinder and an integrated inclinometer that provides instant, angle-compensated aiming points at the push of a button—eliminating manual holdover in the field. Validated by a 2023 Petersen’s Hunting Editor's Choice Award, the OracleX was celebrated for its first-to-market positioning and its ability to maintain hair-splitting accuracy across its entire 2-7x magnification range. This project successfully bridged the gap between legacy optics and digital precision, establishing the OracleX as the gold standard for the modern, high-tech hunter.
